Randomly back

Not much new but I thought I should let you know I'm still alive and kicking.  I haven't been on the computer much (except for work related).  I've taken on an extra project at work for the next few months and it is giving me lots of after-hours work.  My dining room has been converted to a satellite office for the time being.
And it's been HOT, and I may have mentioned a few thousand times - I don't do well in the heat.  We have had no rain and high humidity.  Ughhhhh
Seriously, on this day I thought I'd die.   Abby wasn't very lively either .....  This was the only spot that had a cross breeze and she claimed it
I was forced to institute a mid-week happy hour to survive and ensure I was properly hydrated
I hope someone is still reading this despite my neglect.  I plan to catch up with everyone else on the weekend.

  2. Your weather sounds like our weather...hot, humid and too dry :(
I've been meaning to write you, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions!

  3. I don't do well in the heat either. In Montreal with my mom and the thermometer was over 50 on the deck in the sun! Oh, for the cool of the North Atlantic where there were frost warnings in parts of the island.

  5. Goodness girl, 30c is compared to 86f and our temp has often been over 90f. One day I looked at the temperature and it was 101 with a higher 'feels like'. And with the humidity it is very oppressive. Luckily I have A/C and when it is that hot I don't work outside.

Am looking forward to fall but don't want snow.

  8. Hi! Glad to see you're doing good. Your weather is like ours...hot and humid and very dry. You would think with no rain we wouldn't be humid...no such luck! Now I'm hearing we're going to have a bad winter. These hot days make think that would be OK. If you say I said that when January comes and it's 50de below zero..I'll deny it! Have a good Friday!

  10. Kim, although it seems to be cooler back here in Florida, the heat definitely bothers the dogs. For Roxy, I got a chill mat from DoggyLoot. She loves reclining on it. However, the free freezable toy cracked within a couple of days. Thank goodness, it was only filled with water.
